May We All Win
Dr. Molly Wolf,
The Cursing Therapist
THERAPIST FOR YOUR
FUCKING TRAUMA
Mission Statement
Hi, I am Dr. Molly Wolf, and I am a therapist for all your fucking trauma. I've spent a hell of a lot of time studying trauma and child sexual abuse as a researcher and professor. Now I'm knee-deep in this shit as a trauma therapist.Let's face it: surviving trauma sucks. It's painful, it's brutal, and it's a lonely road if you try to go it alone. But guess what? You don't have to.If you're here reading my bio, it means you're already one brave badass looking to heal. I'm damn proud of you for getting this far, and here's the good news:
TRAUMA IS HEALABLE.
As you already know from the way this website looks, I like cursing. In fact, I believe in cursing. I think we shouldn't be hiding parts of ourselves that are authentic to us. One of the things that happens when we suffer trauma is we become ashamed of our reaction to trauma. But the thing is while we couldn't control the trauma, we can figure out how to heal from trauma. And neither our original reaction to the trauma nor our healing from the trauma are things to be ashamed of.While I don't curse at people, I like to curse in general. That's a part of me. Your trauma is a part of you. And while the cursing doesn't define me, it is definitely a part of me. Your trauma doesn't define you, but it is a part of you. The idea is authenticity. We should all be our authentic selves. May we all win.

Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in NY
I believe in evidence-based practice, and my specialty is helping adult survivors of child sexual abuse. I have specialized training using Eye-Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR), Intensive Trauma Treatment, the Flash Technique, and Internal Family Systems (IFS).So, let’s get to work and kick trauma’s ass.
Molly Wolf, Clinical Social Work/Therapist, LMSW, PhD
Eye-Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR) trained therapist:
Bilateral stimulation helps individuals process and integrate traumatic memories, reducing their emotional impact and promoting healing. EMDR is recognized for its effectiveness in treating PTSD and other trauma-related conditions.Internal Family Systems (IFS):
Everyone has parts of themselves that need attention. Parts that are unhealed, parts that are burdened, parts that are carrying strong emotion, etc. IFS is a way to form a relationship with those parts so that you can learn to trust your whole self and work through unresolved emotions.Intensive Trauma Treatment
I am trained in Intensive Trauma Treatment, which I explain like this:
You know how when you take your car to the mechanic and they tell you need new tires?
Then they say "Come back next week, and I will give you one tire. Come back the week after that, and I'll give you another tire, etc. In a month, you can have all the new tires."
Wouldn't it be better to just be able to get all the tires for your car at once? That's intensive trauma treatment, a few full days of trauma treatment where we knock out all the trauma at once.Flash Technique:
combines positive memories with brief exposures to the traumatic memory, reduces the intensity of the trauma and promotes emotional healing. This technique is particularly beneficial for individuals who find traditional exposure therapies overwhelming or distressing.Evidence-based practice
combining the best research evidence, clinical expertise, and patient preferences to provide the highest quality of care.Specialized with adult survivors of child sexual abuse:
comprehensive approach that combines advanced knowledge of trauma, specialized therapeutic skills, and a deep sense of empathy and understanding. It requires creating a safe and supportive environment, tailoring interventions to individual needs, and committing to ongoing professional development.
